Here’s every way you can watch Foxtel content with a free trial.
How to watch Foxtel with a free trial
Residential Foxtel (i.e. Foxtel with an iQ box) is still a popular pay TV choice here in Australia, but it’s also one of the most expensive in a world filled with more affordable streaming services. One of the other benefits many streaming services offer over Foxtel is a free trial; a try-before-you-buy period, usually lasting between 7 and 30 days. That’s true of Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV Plus and Paramount Plus, but also of Foxtel’s various streaming apps, Foxtel Now, and the suite of apps that live under Foxtel subsidiary Hubbl; Binge, Kayo Sport, Flash and LifeStyle.
So while there’s no way of getting a free trial of traditional Foxtel, there are still plenty of free trials on offer that let you access everything Foxtel has to offer. Each service listed below allows you to watch Foxtel online with a free trial on a huge range of devices, such as smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, computers and dedicated streaming devices.

Foxtel Now free trial
Foxtel's primary streaming alternative is Foxtel Now. The on-demand subscription service offers almost every channel available through Foxtel through simplified (and more affordable) channel packs. Best of all, new Foxtel Now customers can take advantage of a 10-day free trial, which allows you to test out any combination of Foxtel Now packages without paying anything for the first 10 days. It's important to remember that you will be charged the full monthly cost for Foxtel Now if you stay subscribed the moment 10 days tick over. So if you're only interested in taking out the free trial, remember to set yourself a reminder in 10 days to cancel Foxtel Now.

Is Foxtel Now the same as Foxtel Go?
No. Foxtel Now is a standalone streaming video-on-demand service with its own subscription costs. Foxtel Go, on the other hand, is a companion app for residential Foxtel and Foxtel Now subscribers. It's a perk of being a customer that allows you to stream all the content you pay for on up to two additional devices via the mobile app or a web browser.
Binge free trial
Foxtel Now might offer the most comprehensive Foxtel streaming on-demand experience but for an even more affordable alternative, Binge is your best bet.
Starting at $10 per month, Binge offers the premium TV drama and blockbuster movies that Foxtel has gatekept in Australia for so long; Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, True Detective and American Horror Story are just a few of the popular HBO and FX TV shows that would have once been exclusive to Foxtel. Movies like Barbie, Oppenheimer, Harry Potter and Love Actually might not be exclusive to Binge but they are still strong drawcards.
Binge plans cost $10, $18 or $22 per month for the ad-supported Basic SD plan, the Standard HD plan and the Premium 4K plan, respectively. Each plan offers a 7-day free trial period.

Kayo Sports free trial
Kayo Sports is basically all you need if you’re only subscribed to Foxtel for live sports coverage. It offers over 50 sports live and on-demand, including all the biggest draws in Australia: Rugby League, Aussie Rules, Rugby Union, Formula One, Cricket and more.
There are only two plans: Kayo One and Kayo Basic. Kayo One offers HD streaming on one device for $25 per month while Kayo Basic offers 4K streaming on two devices for $35 per month. Both plans offer a 7-day free trial.

What are Kayo freebies?
Not only does Kayo Sport offer a 7-day free trial but it also offers Kayo Freebies. A completely free version of Kayo Sport that offers a smaller selection of sports content with all of the same premium features that Kayo offers, like SplitView and Key Moments. All you need to sign up with your email address to access Kayo Freebies. No payment details needed.
Flash free trial
Flash. What is Flash? For fans of Succession, Flash is the news streaming service Logan Roy could only dream of. One streaming service with over 25 news channels that are available to stream live or on-demand with High Definition content for certain streams.
Imagine if you took everything that optimistic children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 17 hated and dumped it all in one big rubbish tip. That’s Flash.
It’s not all a dog’s breakfast but if you’re serious about your news and where you get it, you probably aren’t interested in financially supporting a rogue’s gallery of out-of-touch muppets to get there.
Flash is available on a wide range of devices. You’re welcome to visit its web page to find out more but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
I can guarantee your time would be better spent watching Succession.
LifeStyle free trial
The LifeStyle app is for the Foxtel fans who really only stay subscribed for shows like The Great British Bake Off, Grand Designs and Selling Houses Australia. The newest of Hubbl’s apps, LifeStyle costs $8 per month for HD streaming on a single device. If you’re already a Binge subscriber, you will be right at home in the LifeStyle app. The user interface is identical. It’s worth mentioning, however, that as the newest arrival in the Hubbl family, the LifeStyle streaming service is only available on a limited range of devices: Hubbl, Hubbl Glass and supported web browsers.
