The next-gen series is live on Binge right now.
How to watch the Gossip Girl reboot in Australia
A whole new generation is about to become obsessed with the privileged lives of New York City's elite private schoolers, with the much-anticipated Gossip Girl reboot finally hitting screens. Almost a decade after the original series' jaw-dropping conclusion, an all-new cast is set to take the Upper East Side by storm, starring lesser-known and more diverse actors.
The cast includes Emily Alyn Lind, Eli Brown, Whitney Peak, Thomas Doherty, Jordan Alexander, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Savannah Smith and Tavi Gevinson, with Kristen Bell returning as the voice of Gossip Girl.
The new series, developed by Joshua Safran (who executive-produced the O.G. Gossip Girl), airs on HBO Max in the US, suggesting the show will feature more adult storylines than the previous CW-produced series.
According to Safran, the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot is not a direct continuation of the original show, but rather a new story set in the same world. Excitingly, this means previous characters can be freely referenced and may even reappear.
