1 min readWhile the rest of Australia recovers from a festive New Years, Stan will be hard at work, shovelling fresh TV shows and movies in to its massive library. If you're looking to start an exciting new series in the New Year, or simply veg out with mindless pulp like The Purge, Stan's got you covered. On New Years Day, you'll be able to stream every episode of Stan's latest Original, Bump, an Australian drama series set in Sydney's Inner West (from the creative team behind Secret Life of Us), or dive into BBC America's The Watch, an adaptation from Terry Pratchett's Discworld universe starring Game of Thrones' Richard Dormer. The rest of the month is stacked with ongoing TV series too, like the fourth season of Alia Shawkat's cracking thriller-comedy Search Party, a tonne of RuPaul, and CW's Walker Texas Ranger revival, Walker (which seems to have a disturbing lack of Chuck Norris at this stage).
There's also a few good movies in the mix this month, whether its the OG shark tale Jaws, David Fincher's underappreciated The Game, or the straight-to-SVOD sci-fi fantasy blockbuster Chaos Walking, starring Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley and Mads Mikkelsen.
