It’s a lot easier to stream golf in Australia than it is to follow the respective Tours around the globe.
How to watch PGA and more live golf in Australia
Playing golf isn’t a cheap hobby. Thankfully, it’s a lot cheaper to live vicariously through the well-above-par skills of professional golfers via live streams, from some of the best services to stream sports in Australia. Given the global nature of the turn-based sport, streams for LIV Golf, the PGA Tour and other professional golf tournaments are available throughout the year. Here’s where to catch all of the golf action in Australia.

Watch golf online in Australia
Kayo is the first tee-off spot for golf streams.
If you want a (driving) range of golf choices, Kayo Sports has you covered. Alternatively, you’ll find the same content on Foxtel Now with the Sport Pack. Whichever of those streaming services you prefer, here are the different golf tournaments that offer live viewing, full replays and highlights:
- PGA Tour
- European Tour
- LGPA Tour
- The Masters
- PGA Tour of Australasia
- Ladies European Tour
- WPGA Tour of Australasia
- Asian Tour
- The Open
- US Open
- The Presidents Cup
In terms of costs, Kayo is the cheaper of the two Foxtel-owned options. Kayo One costs $25 a month for one HD stream. And Kayo Basic costs $35 a month for two 4K streams. For Foxtel Now, it’s a minimum of $54 per month ($25 for the Essentials Pop or Lifestyle pack and $29 for Sport) for two HD streams.
LIV Golf is available for streaming via ESPN. The easiest way to stream ESPN in Australia is via Fetch TV. First, you need a Fetch TV set-top box. Buy a Fetch TV Mini, Mini 4K or Mighty from a participating provider. Alternatively, bundle Fetch TV with an NBN plan from Aussie Broadband, iiNet, Internode, iPrimus, Optus or Westnet. Once you have a Fetch TV set-top box, it costs $6 for the Vibe Pack or $20 each month for the Ultimate Pack, both of which include ESPN.
For free golf streaming via Aussie streaming services, check in with 9Now, which showcased the Australian PGA Golf Tour 2022. Additionally, the LIV Golf League is available for streaming via 7plus.
How else can I stream golf in Australia?
With the right virtual private network (VPN) service, there are ways to access other typically geoblocked streaming services from Australia. For instance, the Golf Channel is a US streaming service available via Hulu’s Live TV add-on, YouTube TV or Fubo. Alternatively, Peacock Premium subscribers can access GolfPass Plus. Pluto TV is a free US-based option for those after golf replays and highlights.
For LIV Golf specifically, connecting to a US VPN server grants access to the CW app or LIV Golf Plus app. Otherwise, connecting to a VPN server in Canada unlocks more golf streaming via DAZN. Here’s a selection of VPNs I’ve tested that work well with Hulu and Peacock TV:
Watch PGA Tour in Australia
As you might’ve gleaned from the list above, the best place to stream any PGA Tour in Australia, including the US PGA Tour, is with a Kayo Sports or Foxtel Now subscription. Kayo is the cheaper option, so sign up, log in and head to the Sports tab, then select golf. Any live golf options will be featured in the top carousel. Alternatively, select from a list of live and upcoming options, recent replays, golf shows as well as minis and highlights.
Watch the US Open
The US Open tees off between 15 and 18 of June 2023. Tune into Kayo Sports or the Sport channel on a Foxtel Now subscription for live coverage, full replays and highlights.
Watch the British Open Championship
The British Open Championship golf tournament streams in July 2024. You’ll find it all on Kayo Sports and the Sport channel of Foxtel Now. The tournament tees off on 14 July.
Watch the Ryder Cup
The easiest way to watch the Ryder Cup in late September and early October 2023 is via Kayo Sports or Foxtel Now (with the Sport add-on). Alternatively, use one of the VPNs listed above to connect to a US server and stream via Hulu or Peacock TV, with the appropriate respective live TV add-ons.
