Get hyped for the latest Mission: Impossible movie by checking in with the eminently possible back catalogue of death-defying flicks. The first five movies are streaming on Binge.
How to watch every Mission: Impossible movie
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to say how many Mission: Impossible movies there are. We’ll start. The easy ones are Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible II and Mission: Impossible III. So far, so good. Then the Roman numerals disappear and the subtitles begin. Next is Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol followed by Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Phew.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is a little confusing because it bumps the series tally up by two, split into Part One and Part Two, for a total of eight movies. So far. Recent writer-director Christopher MacQuarrie has already announced plans for a ninth instalment, so this fast-paced franchise is fast tearing into Fast & Furious territory.

How to watch Mission: Impossible 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
You’ve got options when it comes to streaming the bulk of the Mission: Impossible movie series. Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible II, Mission: Impossible III, Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation are all streaming on Binge, Paramount Plus and Stan in Australia.
That’s a solid trio of choices for the first five Mission: Impossible movies. All of those streaming options have trials, too. Binge has a seven-day trial, Paramount Plus has a seven-day trial while Stan has the best of the lot with 30 days. Paramount Plus may have the shortest trial but it does have the most straightforward pricing: $8.99 per month or $89.99 per year (roughly the price of 10 months).
Binge and Stan have different tiers and no annual pricing. Binge costs $10 per month for one HD stream, $18 for two simultaneous streams or $22 for four. Stan is $12 per month for one SD stream, $17 for three HD streams or $22 for four streams in up to 4K quality.

Fallout is also available for digital renting and purchase on iTunes, Prime Video, Google Play, the Microsoft Store, YouTube and Telstra TV. Alternatively, Mission: Impossible – Fallout is purchasable on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K disc.
How to watch Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One
If you guessed that Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (and Part Two) would also be coming to Paramount Plus, you’d be right. There was no word on when at the time of writing but expect them a few months after the end of their respective theatrical runs. Typically, the movie release flow is: theatrical, digital renting and purchase, then a streaming service (or few).

What is the Mission: Impossible series about?
Mission: Impossible started off as a spy thriller with the 1996 movie adaptation of the TV series from the 1960s and 1970s, following the plight of the Impossible Mission Force (IMF). Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is the star of all of the movies and has to prove his innocence in the original flick.
Mission: Impossible II takes a dove-filled detour into John Woo’s over-the-top action take on the formula where Hunt is chasing a modified disease. Mission: Impossible III pits Hunt against a twisted arms dealer (Philip Seymour Hoffman).
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is the start of the new formula, wherein Hunt and his team are framed for bombing the Kremlin. This is where the iconic stunts come to the fore. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation pits Hunt and his team against an international nemesis organisation as Hunt wrestles with the conflicting loyalties of Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson).
Instead of another standalone adventure, Mission: Impossible – Fallout is a continuation of the Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) threat posed in Rogue Nation. And Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (Part One and Part Two) are about IMF pursuing a threat that intertwines Hunt’s past and the digital future of the world.
All of the Mission: Impossible movies outside of Dead Reckoning are available to stream overseas. Use a virtual private network (VPN) and connect to either a US or UK server to stream Mission: Impossible movies from international services. Every Mission: Impossible movie up to Fallout is available to stream on Paramount Plus in the US and the UK. Alternatively, FuboTV has them in the US and Sky or Now TV are alternatives for the UK. What is Paramount Plus?
Paramount Plus might be overlooked as a streaming platform, but there are definitely some gems in there that are at the very least worth the seven-day free trial. You can catch up on loads of Channel 10 content like The Bachelor and Survivor (hello on-demand Jonathan LaPaglia), locally made TV series like Five Bedrooms and Spreadsheet, and live comedy performances from the likes of Celia Pacquola, Matt Okine, Anne Edmonds and Geraldine Hickey.
There are also some promising originals, such as Ziwe, Yellowjackets, 1883 (the Yellowstone prequel), The Offer, Halo and plenty of ways for Trekkies to go boldly where no streaming service has gone before. It’s also home to Twin Peaks and Daria, which will be enough to net subscriptions from at least two huge cult fanbases.
Like other niche services on this list, the value of Paramount Plus is only muddied by the fact that, outside of the originals, you can stream most of its content on free-to-air or other streaming services.
Here’s how Paramount Plus compares to other Australian streaming services:
