Microsoft's latest consoles come at a premium price but if you know where to look, you can save a few bucks on the box.

If you've waited this long to upgrade to the Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X, you may have been waiting for a decent discount on Microsoft's console. Well, look no further. On this page, you'll find all the latest deals on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Xbox games.

How much do the Xbox Series S and X usually cost in Australia?

The digital-only Xbox Series S starts at $499 RRP.

In its current generation of consoles, Microsoft has simplified its offerings somewhat. There are only two models available both with distinct strengths and weaknesses.

The cheaper Xbox Series S is a digital-only device with no disc drive and 512GB of storage. That means you can't purchase physical games for it from stores like EB Games and JB HI-FI. Instead, games must be purchased digitally or downloaded with the Xbox Game Pass subscription. On the other hand, the Xbox Series X is a larger, more expensive console with a disc drive for those who still like to purchase physical media.

Here's how much each model costs at the recommended retail price (RRP):

  • Xbox Series S 512GB: $499
  • Xbox Series X 1TB: $749

If you want to splash out on the most premium console Xbox currently offers, you'll be stretched to find a better deal than the Forza Horizon 5 bundle from The Good Guys. In addition to the Xbox Series X itself (a powerhouse console that delivers 4K gaming at 120fps,) you also get the Premium Edition of the popular racing game Forza Horizon 5 as well as more in-game benefits like a Welcome Pack and VIP pass. That costs less than you'll the standalone console at other retailers, like Catch.

Nab a bargain on Game Pass or find a deal on the latest physical releases for Xbox.

Video game deals for Xbox have become less important since Game Pass launched. The Xbox subscription service gives you access to a huge library of over 100 PC and Xbox games, ready to download at any time.

As Netflix does for movies and TV shows, Xbox will add and remove certain games on a daily basis, but you can guarantee you'll be able to find all first-party Xbox titles in the Game Pass library.
