Amaysim’s mantra of keeping plans simple and straightforward extends to its offerings in the home NBN broadband space. Here’s everything you need to know about Amaysim Home Internet plans
Amaysim NBN Home Internet: Plans and pricing compared
Telco amaysim – now a wholly owned subsidiary of Optus – got its start in the Australian marketplace with a very simple proposition: No frills mobile phone deals at a time when MVNOs in the Australian marketplace were rather thin on the ground.
It applies the same essential sensibility to its freshly launched amaysim home internet plans, with just a few choices to make around the plan speeds you’d like to experience
What are the different types of Amaysim Home Internet plans?
Amaysim’s Home Internet plans operate on the National Broadband Network through through fixed line (FTTP/FTTB/FTTC/FTTN/HFC) connections.
As is the case for higher speed tiers from any provider, you’ll only be able to access those plans if you’re on a technology mix that offers them – which is basically just FTTP and HFC. As always with the National Broadband network, the kind of connection open to you depends entirely on your address.
You can also get mobile phone plans through amaysim, and there’s a good reason to do so if you’re considering an amaysim Home Internet plan, as it offers discounts for customers who effectively bundle both services.
Amaysim NBN plans and prices
Amaysim Home Internet’s NBN plans for those on fixed line connections cover four different speed tiers, starting at NBN Basic (25Mps), NBN Standard (50Mbps), NBN Fast (100Mbps) and NBN Superfast (250Mbps) tiers, all offered on a month-to-month basis.
In the spirit of keeping it simple, all of amaysim’s Home Internet plans work on a BYO modem model, so if you don’t have one, you’ll need to buy one separately.
The key hook besides simplicity for amaysim’s plans are that you can get a discount for signing up, and if you’re an amaysim mobile customer as well, that discount just keeps on rolling. Not with amaysim? You’ll only get the discount (at least at launch) for the first six months.
Available plans cover four speed tiers with unlimited data at every tier. All of amaysim’s Home Internet plans work on a prepaid basis.
The entry level “Quick As” plan provides typical evening speeds of 25Mbps down and 8Mbps up at an introductory price of $60/month for the first six months, up to $70/month after six months unless you’re an amaysim customer where you get to keep the same discount.
Next up is the “Speedy As” tier, offering typical evening speeds of 50Mbps down and 18Mbps up for $75/month at the six month discounted price and $85/month after that. Again, you get to keep the discount if you’ve also got a mobile phone plan with amaysim.
Amaysim’s third plan tier is called “Fast As”, offering typical evening speeds of 100Mbps down and 18Mbps up for $80/month (or $90/month after your first six months), and again – you guessed it – you can keep that $80/month price if you’re an existing amaysim mobile customer.
The top tier of amaysim’s plan tree is called “Superfast As”, providing typical evening speeds of 240Mbps down and 22Mbps up, priced at $90/month for the first six months (or for existing amaysim customers as long as you stay a customer) and $100/month after that.

Amaysim Home Internet NBN plan features
The whole point here is simplicity. You’re paying for an Internet data service, and that’s what you get, with no quotas to speak of and a simple no-frills month to month commitment to the NBN speed tier of your choice.
All of amaysim’s plans operate on a BYO modem basis, so there’s no repayments to be made there, though you will need an NBN-ready modem of your own to bring to use with your plan.
Amaysim advises that it will undertake a service quality test before hooking up any customer, to ensure that you can get the speeds you’re paying for. If you’re unhappy within your first 30 days, you can cancel the service and receive a refund for your prepaid fees.
Like every other NBN provider, Amaysim’s Home Internet relies on the underlying NBN infrastructure, and there’s plenty of competition, so it’s always worth checking around for the best value NBN plans for your needs.
