Spintel lets its users BYO NBN-compatible router or modem-router but there are a couple of preconfigured options you can buy. For Spintel NBN plans, add a TP-Link VX230v modem-router for $139.95 upfront or spend $249.95 on the same device with a TP-Link HX510 mesh WiFi extender. The TP-Link VX230v modem-router is compatible with all NBN technologies, supports VoIP calls and offers dual-band WiFi 6 with wireless speeds up to 1800Mbps. It also sports three gigabit Ethernet ports and a single USB 2.0 port.
There are a few different purchasable options for a Spintel home internet plan. You can get the dual-band WiFi 5 Nokia FastMile 5G router, which has three gigabit Ethernet ports and a single USB 3.0 port. Alternatively, there’s the Huawei B628 modem-router, which has two gigabit Ethernet ports and a VoIP telephone port. This dual-band WiFi 5 modem-router supports speeds up to 600Mbps download and 100Mbps upload.
For a portable alternative (in supported areas), Spintel also offers the Netgear AC800S, which is a dual-band WiFi 5 device with 11 hours of battery life. This Netgear modem-router is available for home internet and mobile broadband customers.
