Vodafone is making its mobile broadband offerings a little more tempting this month, halving the price off the cost of its 4G mobile broadband and 5G home internet plans as part of this year's Black Friday sales.

Consumers who sign up for any of the above plans between the 15th and 29th of November 2022 will pay half the usual price for the first six months. This new promotion goes on top of Vodafone's existing policy of bundling in the first month of any of the provider's 4G and 5G home internet plans for free.

If you're already a Vodafone mobile customer, the provider will knock another $10 off. Together, these discounts bring the monthly cost of Vodafone's 4G Home Internet Plan, 5G Home Broadband Plus plan and 5G Home Broadband Premium plan down to $25, $30 and $32.50.

If you're not keen on keeping or changing to Vodafone as your mobile provider, those numbers shift to become $30 per month, $32.50 per month and $35 per month respectively.

Aside from the cost involved, the main difference between these three plans is the speed offered by each. Vodafone's 4G Home Internet Plan promises speeds of up to 20Mbps while the 5G Home Broadband Plus plan goes up to 50Mbps. The 5G Home Broadband Premium plan tops the list with potential speeds 100Mbps, though actual performance may vary based on your location and network conditions.

With consumers able to sign up and take advantage of 5G speeds on as little as $30/month for the first six months, Vodafone general manager for fixed line product Andy O’Connor pitched the plans as among the "best value" 4G and 5G internet plans in Australia.

"These 4G and 5G Home Internet plans are great NBN alternatives and provide excellent value for customers keeping an eye on their budget,” said O’Connor.
