Acer’s new brand Acerpure stemmed from the Covid 19 pandemic and now centres on a host of air-focused products.

Originally targeting Taiwan, Oceanic Managing Director Gaba Cheng said that Acerpure came along in 2020 during the Covid pandemic when the company realised the products may be more suitable for a larger market.

“Acerpure was originally air purification products aimed towards the Taiwanese market, but all of a sudden we found out that air cooling and cleaning items were very suitable for a lot of the market.”

Over the past three years the brand has spread across more than ten countries, and has now landed in Australia with a slew of air related products, four in the air circulation and purification space.

The Acerpure Cool, Acerpure Pro, and AcerPure Vero make up the new air purifier range, and the Acerpure Cozy is the sole fan and air circulator. The Cool is a two in one device with a swivelling air purifier on the bottom, and an oscillating fan on the top. The purification elements use a four in one HEPA filter rated to H13, was tested to eliminate 99.99% of airborne bacteria, and is rated to cover 45 square metres. A smaller, desktop model of the Cool is in the works and set to be released in late 2024/25.

With an 80 degree swing on the bottom and a 90 degree oscillation from the fan on the top, the device has a distinct C3PO type of movement to it- like a head bobbing around on a stiff body. Acerpure Cozy shares the same spiral oscillation, and can be set up as either a tall fan at 86cm high, or a table fan at 54.6cm.

The Acerpure Pro and Vero are the brand’s purely air purification devices. The Pro is the most advanced model, equipped with CO2 detection, VOC sensor, a four in one HEPA filter, and covering 116 metres squared. The Vero on the other hand is made with 35% recycled materials, has a three in one HEPA filter, and covers 47.5 metres squared. There is an additional evaporative humidifier which can be set on top of the Vero set for release in 2024/2025.

Currently the company is focusing on Dyson-esque products (a vacuum, and an airwrap look-a-like were also on display at the launch), the plan is to look deeper into cooking and kitchen appliances as the brand evolves. Acerpure is already teasing an air-fryer, cooktop combination device that uses the heating element to fire down into the fryer and up to the cooktop.

Acerpure products are available from Acer online, and Bing Lee online.
