As part of its budding sustainability initiative, Dyson will let you trade in any brand of hair styler for $150 off the covetted Airwrap styler.

Unlike phone trade in deals that scale the trade-in value based on the model and condition of the device, Dyson is offering a flat rate across any brand. Meaning you could take your old Kmart hair dryer and put it toward the value of the much fancier Airwrap.

The offer is valid on the Airwrap Complete Long in Prussian blue/Rich copper, and the Airwrap Complete Long in Ceramic Pop. These retail for $849 and $799 respectively, so with the trade-in value they come down to $699 and $649.

While trade-ins haven't been part of Dyson's wheelhouse historically, a spokesperson told Reviews.org we could see more offers like this in the future.

"It is something we started last year and we are testing the uptake with our owners. Should it be popular, we would look to make it permanent as part of our sustainability commitment."

Traded in Dyson products will be refurbished or used for parts, while any non-Dyson branded machine will be recycled and sold off for scrap where possible.

Alongside the Airwrap offer, the stick vacuum giant is also offering a $450 trade-in value on the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine. In a similar style, buyers can trade in any brand of vacuum with purchase to get the discount. This brings the price down from $1,549 to $1,099.

Both deals are valid until June 5, 2024 and redeemable through the Dyson Australia online store. You'll need to use code HCTRADEIN for the Airwrap, or SUBTRADEIN for the Submarine Detect.
