GHD released five of its core hair stylers in brushed fondant pink, and has pledged to donate proceeds from every sale to support breast cancer research.
The Platinum+, Max Wide, and Gold hair straighteners are all available in the Barbie-core colour, along with the GHD Glide straightening brush and the Helios professional hair dryer. These are all retailing for their usual prices of between $270 for the Glide, and $415 for the Platinum+ hair straightener, but $20 of that will be passed on to support cancer research.
Sales from the limited range will contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, an Australian not-for-profit funding breast cancer research since 1994. In that time NBCF has supported over 600 research projects, and invested over $200 million dollars towards its goal of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
GHD's products join a range of Pink Products that continuously support the foundation's research. Goodies range from 4WD recovery boards, soccer balls, candles, sheets, and even a perma FLEX auotmatic lubricator (I don't know what that does).
The haircare giant is a Diamond commercial partner with the foundation, and has contributed $4.73 million over the past 20-years. It joins other brands supporting the foundations such as PWC, Rio Tinto, Sally Hansen, and David Jones.
