The quick read

Aldi's robot vacuum will cost $349, which makes it cheaper than an older model the retailer sold earlier this year. This time Aldi is offering the Deebot Neo 2.0 Robot Vacuum Cleaner, which is just the Neo 2.0 Plus without the self-emptying station.

We reviewed it earlier this year, so check out how it stacked up against our testing.

By now we are all familiar with Aldi's middle aisle, and when you wander down it on September 7th you'll find a bunch of cleaning accessories including the Ecovacs Deebot Neo 2.0 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. Earlier this year Aldi had the Deebot Neo on sale for $399, but now you can snag the more powerful Deebot Neo 2.0 for just $349.

Ordinarily the Neo 2.0 retails for $999 and includes a self-emptying base station. For this Aldi sale it is ditching the base station, and drastically cutting down that pricepoint. When we reviewed the Deebot Neo 2.0 Plus, we found that it had a couple of quirks that made it a bit underwhelming at a $1000 tag price, but at $349 it is worth braving the lines - even without the base station.

This model has simultaneous mopping and vacuuming functions, along with a 5,000pa suction power which is more than enough for your day-to-day debris. It has a simple mopping function, and will avoid carpet when the mop pad is connected and enabled. In testing it did a great job keeping carpets dry, but the mopping itself is a bit below what you can get from the best robot vacuum cleaners these days.

Connected through the Ecovacs Home app, the Neo 2.0 has home mapping, and customised cleaning schedules. These schedules allow you to toggle suction power, and water usage room-by-room, and can even work with smart home devices like Alexa and Google Nest.

As with all Aldi Special Buys, stock is limited. If you're keen on the latest robot vacuum then you'll want to get there nice and early on Saturday September 7th.
