Amaysim has four international roaming packs to choose from. One international roaming add-on is for calls and texts only; another is just for data; while the other two offer calls, texts and data. Here’s a breakdown of Amaysim’s international roaming add-ons:

• Amaysim Small Talk international roaming ($20): 100 minutes of call minutes, 100 SMS.
• Amaysim The Works international roaming ($25): 50 minutes of call minutes, 30 SMS and 2GB data.
• Amaysim Just Gigs international roaming ($50): 6GB data.
• Amaysim The Epic international roaming ($70): 100 minutes of call minutes, 60 SMS and 9 GB data.

On the good-news front, all Amaysim international roaming add-ons are valid for 365 days, which is great compared to the trend of per-day travel packs. That means if you have leftover call minutes, SMSs or data, you’ll be able to use it on another overseas trip to an eligible destination inside the 365-day expiry. Incoming SMSs are also free to receive.

On the less-good-news front, those who like to make calls may balk at the fact that those call minutes include incoming and outgoing calls. If that’s a problem, though, use Amaysim’s WiFi calling feature (when connected to WiFi) or consider making calls via data-using apps to preserve precious call minutes.

Amaysim international roaming add-ons are accessed via the iOS or Android companion app. Open the Amaysim app, click the ‘Add roaming’ button under international roaming, then tap on the pack you want to review. Scroll through the relevant roaming pack info, then select ‘Choose this pack’ at the bottom of the app to confirm.
