Leading Australian market research company Roy Morgan has announced Aussie Broadband as the standout for the telecommunications category in its annual Trusted Brand Awards for 2023.
This is the second time Aussie Broadband has won this category since the inaugural awards in 2022.
The Roy Morgan Trusted Brand Awards recognise brands that have reached "outstanding levels of trust" across 20 categories. Brands must also have low or negligible levels of distrust in order to surpass others in their category.
Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine said "The last few years have certainly provided their challenges with a once-in-a-century pandemic transitioning into a period of high inflation and rising interest rates."
"Despite the incredible differences these circumstances present, we have found the vast majority of Australia’s most trusted brands have backed up their performance from a year ago and confirmed their market-leading positions with consecutive wins in their categories."
The data for the Roy Morgan Trusted Brand Awards is collected over a 12-month period up to June 2023. The Roy Morgan Risk Monitor interviews around 2,000 Australians each month with respondents asked which companies they trust and why as well as which brands they distrust and why.
In general, Aussie's phone and internet plans sit on the more expensive side of the scale. However, Aussie provides good value for money with high-quality service.
For example, according to the ACCC's latest Measuring Broadband Australia report Aussie Broadband delivered maximum download speeds on its NBN plans 99.1% of the time overall and 97.5% of the time during peak hours (between 7pm and 11pm).
Aussie has 100% Australian-based support and is one of the brands we recommend as a good choice for gamers thanks to its network optimisations in that space.
