The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have some big leaps forward from last year's models, with a more powerful A18 chip, the Action button seen on last year's Pro models and a new Camera Control button. Read on the find the best iPhone 16 plans and learn more about all the new features.

Cheapest iPhone 16 plans

The cheapest plans for the iPhone 16 from Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.
Apple iPhone 16

Apple gave us a pleasant surprise by pricing this year's iPhone 16 $100 cheaper than the iPhone 15 was at launch. This means plans from Vodafone, Optus and Telstra are a bit cheaper than the equivalent iPhone 15 plans last year.

Vodafone's $49 Small Plan is the cheapest option, with the plan plus device payments for 36 months setting you back around $87.86 per month.

Sound like a good deal? Vodafone will do even one better. If you sign up for their $79 plan and stay connected for 36 months, they'll knock $1,200 off the cost of the iPhone 16. You read that right. That brings your plan plus device payments to $81.78 per month.

For comparison, here's a look at the cheapest iPhone 15 plans:

If you're all about that big phone life, the iPhone 16 Plus' 6.7" display is the way to go. The 16 Plus starts at a slightly cheaper price point than last year's 15 Plus, so it's a fairly safe bet that this year's iPhone 16 Plus plans will come in at a slightly lower price than the current iPhone 15 Plus plans.

The Vodafone $49 Small Plan is still to be your cheapest option. You'll get 50GB of monthly data, and with device payments spread out over 36 months, you'll likely be paying a little over $93 per month.
