Just six months after showing off the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple has decided to add another handsets to its ranks. The company’s third-generation iPhone SE is certain to shake up the mid-tier market when it launches later this month.

But how much will it cost to get one in Australia?

64GB
128GB
256GB
iPhone SE (2022)$719$799$969
iPhone 13N/A$1,349$1,519
iPhone SE (2020)$679$759$999

Australian pricing for the third generation iPhone SE is slightly higher than that of its 2020 counterpart, which lines up with the minor but meaningful approach that Apple are offering with this update.

Australian pricing for the new iPhone SE starts at A$719 for the 64GB model. Those who need extra storage have the option of paying A$799 for the 128GB model or A$969 for the 256GB model.

For comparison, here's how much the second generation iPhone SE cost in Australia when it launched back in 2020:

  • iPhone SE 2020 (64GB): $679
  • iPhone SE 2020 (128GB): $759
  • iPhone SE 2020 (256GB): $999

iPhone SE 2022 Australian launch date

The Apple iPhone SE 2022 will launch in Australia on the 18th of March, 2022.

Preorders for the new device will open on the 12th of March, 2022 through participating local retailers and Apple.

iPhone SE 2022 plans

While we won’t know final postpaid pricing for the new iPhone SE until the exact and official pricing is revealed by carriers, it’s probably safe to assume that Australia’s big three telcos (Telstra, Vodafone and Optus) will carry the device in some capacity.

Check out the widget below for a round-up of plans currently being offered for the current iPhone SE for a sense of what plans are likely to be offered for the new model.
