The Big Three telcos are all ranging Motorola’s new 5G budget phone
Motorola today announced local pricing and availability for its latest budget phone, the $399 Moto G62 5G. While the phone is a fairly typical low price handset, it's notable because Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone are all ranging it.
Telcos tend to be extremely selective when it comes to the more affordable phones they range, and the only time it's guaranteed they'll stock the same product is when it comes to Apple and Samsung devices.
Key specifications for the Moto G652 5G include a 6.5-inch 1080p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 480+ processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. On the back, you'll find three cameras: a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
The Moto G62 5G ships with Android 12, and Motorola is promising one major operating system update and two years of bimonthly security updates.
You can pick up the Moto G62 5G outright from today, through retailers including The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, and Officeworks. It will set you back $399.
If you're hoping to get the Moto G62 5G on a plan, you'll need to wait until August 1. Here are Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone's cheapest postpaid plans you'll be able to pair the phone with.
You can expect a $16.60 per month or so handset repayment on a 24-month plan.
