How much does the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 cost in Australia?

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold played a big part in shaping the future of foldables but it's actually the Galaxy Z Flip that became the surprise fan favourite. This year's Galaxy Unpacked event brought us not only the new Z Fold 5, Galaxy Tab S9 range and a Galaxy smartwatch, but once again Samsung has doubled down on all things that flip and/or fold with the brand-new Galaxy Z Flip 5.

So how much will it cost you to join the flippable future this year? Let's take a look. 

While we can all appreciate that Samsung is keeping the Flip dream alive, the fact that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 still doesn't have a 1TB variant might be a disappointment to some. Not only that, but Samsung has also scrubbed the 128GB model (no tears were shed here.)  Still, scrapping the 128GB model does raise the cost of admission. While $1,499 was the cheapest you could get a Galaxy Z Flip 4, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 now starts at $1,649 for the 256GB model (which, mercifully, costs the same as last year.).

• Galaxy Z Flip 4 (256GB): $1,649 
• Galaxy Z Flip 4 (512GB): $1,849

Both of Samsung's new foldables were released on the same day, the 18th of August 2023.
