Samsung's latest foldables have been Unpacked, and both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are available now in Australia

Neither phone have seen big upgrades from the fifth generation, but the Fold does have some new AI features - as is the style these days. Along with Galaxy AI features like live translate and note assist, the Fold will also unveil Sketch to Image. You'll be able to crudely draw something using the S-Pen, and the AI app will change it isn't a more detailed piece. Apart from that, the Fold 6 is 15g lighter than the previous model, and has the same camera set up and battery as last year.

If you're already sold on the device, we've pulled together the best deals, plans, and other buying options for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

How to buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

Just like its clamshell bretheren, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is available to buy directly through Samsung or through the telco of your choosing. Vodafone, Optus, and Telstra are all offering the device on a repayment plan, or you can opt to buy it outright from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 plans

Pick your provider.

Every major telco in Australia is selling the Galaxy Z Fold 6 on a plan, so you can pick from Telstra, Vodafone and Optus. Despite having slightly different pre-order bonuses, the plans all look quite similar. You'll pay for your phone over the course of 24 or 36 months, and you'll get a SIM-only plan on top of that.

Your agreement to buy the Z Fold 6 on a plan is a set contract, so you'll need to make the same repayments from day dot until it is paid off. The SIM-only part of the plan however is contract-free. This means you can change your plan up or down each month if you're so inclined, but it also means your telco can change that plan.

Lately the major aussie telcos have been upping prices each year, so be aware that you may end up paying $2-$4 extra per month for every year you're paying off your phone. Most notably, Telstra's mobile plans will increase in price from late August, so be sure to factor that into your decision making.

Here are how Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 plans compare across providers. Psst, we've seperated these out in to 24 and 36 month plans, so just tap the arrow to see which one you want.
