Woolworths Mobile is set to rebrand as Everyday Mobile in August, and in the lead-up, has stopped offering phones on plans.
The rebrand will primarily be a branding exercise for the popular Telstra MVNO, aligning Woolworths' popular Everyday Rewards program with its mobile plan offering.
Existing customers won't be impacted by the rebrand (at least in the initial rollout.) Plan inclusions, Telstra wholesale coverage and customer support avenues will remain the same for the foreseeable future.
The 10% monthly shop discount, a popular perk for Woolworths Mobile customers, will also stick around. Everyday Mobile customers will need Everyday Rewards to take advantage of the 10% discount, but you don't need to be an Everyday Rewards user to sign up for Everyday Mobile.
Coinciding with the announcement, Woolworths Mobile has stopped selling handsets on a plan. This isn't a coincidence, according to Woolworths Mobile, Everyday Mobile won't offer phone plans, just month-to-month SIM plans and prepaid plans. That's only really bad news for Samsung fans, as Woolworths Mobile made a name for itself over the years as the best provider for anyone looking for the latest and greatest Samsung Galaxy, often offering competitive "early bird" deals that included huge discounts and bundled hardware like Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds.
