Own a Pixel Watch? It's about to get a little better.
Google has announced that both its first-generation smartwatch and last year's Pixel Watch 2 are set to receive a software update that'll bring both devices in line with the version of Wear OS found in this year's Pixel Watch 3.
As per a statement by the company, the rollout for this software update will happen in a series of phases over the next week. If you own a Pixel Watch, then all you need to do is wait for the notification that tells you it's time to upgrade your device.
According to Google, the software update includes numerous bug fixes and performance updates for existing Pixel Watch owners. It will also bring with it a few new features, such as a grid-view app launcher, improved camera controls and Pixel Recorder functionality.
It's not quite a Pixel Feature Drop, but it's not nothing either. Given that a big part of the story Google is telling with its hardware these days is that its devices are built smart enough to get better over time, it's nice to see them live up to the promise in this instance.
