In August Huawei released the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 which support high resolution audio, funnily enough making them better than AirPods for Apple Music.

The latest buds include LDAC high-resolution codec that enables high-res audio over a wireless connection. For now, the only streaming services that support this audio type are Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music - but you’ll need to be on a higher subscription tier with Amazon.

For now there aren’t too many earbuds on the market that support this audio format. Samsung’s newest Buds are on the list, but no Apple headphones are as of yet, making the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 better suited to the streaming platform than Apple’s own.

Other features include Triple Adaptive EQ which Huawei claims will automatically tune audio according to the listener’s ear canal, posture, and volume level. Further EQ customisation is also available through the Huawei AI Life app.

Improving from the last iteration, the FreeBuds Pro 2 are said to have 15% better noise cancellation than their predecessor, and have a more comfortable and secure in-ear fit.

According to Huawei testing, the Buds should last four hours with ANC on, and an additional 18 hours with the charging case. Without noise canceling this number jumps to 30 hours.

From August 15 to September 24, customers who purchase the FreeBuds Pro 2 will get a Huawei Sound Joy bluetooth speaker as a bonus gift.

How much do Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 Cost in Australia?

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 retail for $349 and are available for purchase  from Amazon and Huawei Authorised Experience Stores.

From the 15 August to 24 September, consumers receive a free Huawei Sound Joy
as a gift with the purchase of FreeBuds Pro 2, valued at $229.
