Verizon is one of the big dogs in the wireless industry. It offers the best mobile network in the country, with fast data speeds and tons of perks. But that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to get someone from the company on the phone.

Verizon’s customer service isn’t the best in the telecommunications industry, but it is a good step ahead of some. So we’re here to help make your customer service experience a bit easier.

Verizon customer service phone numbers

The best way to get customer service from Verizon is to call directly. There’s just no substitute for talking with a real human being (even if you’ve got to wade through a few automated menus first). Here’s a look at all of the customer service numbers you might need.

Verizon Wireless customer service phone numbers
  • Verizon Wireless customer service: +1-800-922-0204
  • Prepaid customer service: +1-888-294-6804
  • National accessibility (for customers with disabilities): +1-888-262-1999
  • Verizon consumer sales: +1-800-225-5499
  • Verizon business sales: +1-855-509-5478
  • Verizon Hum customer service: +1-800-711-5800

Hopefully one of these numbers put you through to an incredibly friendly customer service agent. If not, here are some other ways to get help from Verizon.

Get Verizon's network at a fraction of the price

While Verizon's prepaid plans offer discounted pricing, smaller prepaid carriers often provide significantly better deals. That's because they leverage existing network infrastructure instead of investing in their own towers. The good news is there are several super-affordable providers operating on Verizon's network

For a cheap unlimited cell phone plan, we recommend Visible's $25 Unlimited Plan. It offers unlimited data and unlimited mobile hotspot use.  For heavy data users, we also like Visible's $45 Unlimited Plan, which gets you 100GB of high-speed data plus unlimited international talk and text to Mexico and Canada, which are pretty rare perks for a prepaid provider.

Check out the table below to see our most recommended prepaid carriers on Verizon's network:

Other ways to get help

If you don’t like talking on the phone, then there are plenty of other ways to get help from Verizon, no matter what issue you’re facing.

You can contact a customer service representative directly using Messenger or by sending a text message. If you’d prefer to see what other Verizon customers have to say about your problem, check out the Verizon Community forums.

If you’re an active Verizon Wireless customer you can sign in to My Verizon using the app on your phone or on your web browser. From there you can reach out to customer support about issues specific to your account.

Verizon also has plenty of other online FAQs and resources on its support website.

Verizon Wireless customer service performance

Prospective customers (and existing customers who are tired of waiting on hold) might wonder how Verizon’s customer service ranks compared to other companies.

Well, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index’s (ACSI) Customer Satisfaction Reports, Verizon does just fine for its customers. In the mobile category, Verizon is just one point below T-Mobile, with AT&T leading by two points.
