Cut the cord with Discovery+ and live the dream of streaming at your finger tips.
Discovery+ Streaming Service Review
Discovery+ streaming service has proved me wrong.
It launched on January 4th, and after its first month, it's looking pretty good.
So should you get Discovery+ streaming service? Well, honestly, as far as bang for your buck, Discovery+ streaming service delivers.
But let me tell you why. Let's dive in.

My cord cutting background
About seven years ago, I was done with cable and I was ready to cut that cord. But my wife, she wasn't quite so ready to take the leap. She loved to have on the shows that she enjoyed in the background throughout the day, and live.
Discovery+ streaming service has removed very nearly the last content-related obstacle I can think of to cord cutting. So what is Discovery+ streaming service and how do you set it up?
Discovery+ streaming service screen setup
So on the home screen, I can use this to check out the featured content from across the entire app. Or, if there's a channel you love, you can go to the list there on the home screen, or you can go to the browse tab to see the different channels they have available.
So if you really love stuff from TLC, or you really love stuff from the Discovery Channel, you can go channel by channel that way. Whatever it is that you like, you save that content to your list, and that's going to show up on your home screen.
Discovery+ content
There’s so much content on Discovery+ it’s almost overwhelming. Eight seasons of Dirty Jobs, 20 seasons of MythBusters, 24 seasons of How It's Made, as examples. How about 38 seasons? 38 seasons. Let that sink in for a moment. 38 seasons of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
And that's just the classic content. Now we have stuff that's exclusive to the Discovery+ streaming service app. Discovery+ offers originals like the Magnolia Network, which you would recognize from Chip and Joanna Gaines. If you ever watched them on their shows over the years, well, they've created a lifestyle juggernaut enough that they now have their own channel in Discovery+ streaming service. Pretty great.
You've also got Discovery+ streaming service originals like Dame Judi Dench in the Jungles in Borneo. That's pretty fun. I actually watched a little bit of it and it really is pretty compelling.
Mike Rowe has a new show telling stories as only Mike Rowe can.
Discovery+ streaming service price
So yeah, sign me the heck up. It's pretty great. So what does it cost?
Well, this is going to run you $4.99 a month if you go with ads. Or, for just two bucks more, you can go without ads.
So $8.99 a month to go without the ads, in my personal opinion, if you're going to watch Discovery+ streaming service often, then an extra few bucks a month is 100% worth it to skip those ads.
Verizon customers get Discovery+ for free
I should also mention, Verizon Unlimited customers can get Discovery+ free for a year.
I'm not sure how long that's going to last, so jump on it now if you're thinking about doing it.
Discovery+ streaming service prediction
So my prediction, by the end of 2021, it should be in line with Max subscription-wise. Maybe even more, since you can actually get it for less than half the cost that you would pay for Max. As for what you can watch it on, it's pretty much all of the major devices, all of your Apple and Android mobile devices, Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku. That's what I'm watching it on, your Samsung smart TVs and X-Box. So yeah, we are missing a few things, like PlayStation, but I'm sure that those will come in time. They have mentioned that they are going to work on more device availability in the coming year.
Is Discovery+ recommended?
So, do I recommend Discovery+ streaming service? Well at this point in the video, it should be pretty clear. Yeah. I recommend it. If this is the kind of content that is up your alley, you would know that, and you should absolutely get Discovery+ streaming service. If it's not, then it's not, and you don't get it. No problem. But as far as bang for your buck, as far as usability, as far as the layout of the app goes, I really, really like it. And I really highly recommend Discovery+ streaming service to anybody who likes this kind of content.
